Late March Paul de Ridder of IRUN Docklands was approached by Capital Chorus, West London Barbershop Harmony Club (www.capitalchorus.co.uk) to come up with an idea to advertise via the internet a free ‘Learn To Sing’ course which is to take place on Monday evenings during June and July 2009 in West London. The remit was that the website should be simple, catchy and informative, and that it should enable the visitor to sign up for this course online.
After discussion it was decided that the IRUN’s WebBuildPRO package would suit the client’s needs. All the WebBuildPRO packages are 100% internet based so there is no software to load or update and they include a full set of management tools which allows the client to update the site anytime, anywhere, with no special skills required.
Within two weeks a suitable domain name, www.meninharmony.org.uk, was obtained, content was written, keyword research was carried out and the site went live.
Capital Chorus’ membership secretary Michael Cook states: “Within two days from going live we received our first online applicant; that is very encouraging. IRUN also embedded a welcoming audio file on the home page, which we did not ask for but which gives the site a nice and very appropriate touch”.
Various inbound and outbound links were researched and implemented by IRUN, resulting in a steady site traffic increase.
